Charlotte FC in the Community
22 Schools Initiative
In association with our community partners, Charlotte Football Club is providing free after school soccer and literacy programming for Title 1 schools in Charlotte and the Carolinas. Each participating school will have its own coach/mentor.
22 Pitches Initiative
The club will install mini soccer pitches in at-risk communities across Charlotte and the Carolinas. Each pitch will be complemented with a character-based mentoring curriculum, and soccer programming.
22 Captains Academy
We are investing in, and empowering, our local high school leaders. Boys and girls who are nominated to the Captains Academy will participate in monthly meetings to listen to and learn from leaders in our community.
Our Community Partners
Our Community Captains
Our exclusive network of leaders around the Carolinas are an integral to helping the club connect at a grassroots level. Community Captains advocate for the growth of the club, and will facilitate a two-way flow of feedback and news between the club and its community.

MLS Works Programs

Soccer for All
Soccer For All signifies that everyone is welcome to MLS, regardless of race, color, religion, national origin, gender, gender identity, disability, sexual orientation or socioeconomic status, and emphasizes the League’s commitment to drive positive social change and end discrimination.

Every Save Makes A Difference
Since 2015, TUDN has partnered with MLS WORKS and Allstate to provide additional soccer opportunities for the Hispanic facing community in MLS markets. Every save made during a TUDN or Univision broadcast earns $500 for the MLS club as a part of the Every Save Makes a Difference program.
