CROWNS UP QUEEN CITY

Charlotte FC clinched their place in Round One of the Audi 2024 MLS Cup Playoffs. This will mark CLTFC's second postseason appearance in just their third season in MLS.

The Round One Best-of-3 Series home Playoff match will be played between November 1 and November 5.

The Crown's opponent, date, and time of their first playoff match will be announced after Decision Day, Saturday, October 19.

2024 MLS CUP PLAYOFF FORMAT

ROUND OVERVIEW

There are four rounds, ending with the MLS Cup presented by Audi on December 7 at a to-be-determined stadium.

Wild Card: October 22
Round One Best-of-3 Series: October 26 - November 10
Conference Semifinals: November 23 - 24
Conference Finals: November 30 - December 1
MLS Cup presented by Audi: December 7

Round One Best-of-3 Series (16-24 games)

Every Round One game will have a winner; no ties, no aggregate score.
The matches will be hosted in a home-away-home format:
- Match 1: higher seed hosts
- Match 2: lower seed hosts
- Match 3: higher seed hosts
If a match is tied at the end of regulation, no extra time will be played. Teams will participate in kicks from the penalty spot to determine the winner.
The first team to win two matches will advance.
