CHARLOTTE, NC (Tuesday, February 6, 2024) – Crown Legacy FC today announced the Club has acquired goalkeeper Nicholas Holliday from North Carolina FC.
Holliday, 18, hails from Chapel Hill, NC and will join CLFC in MLS NEXT Pro for the 2024 season. The goalkeeper has a guaranteed future contract with Charlotte FC.
“Nicholas is a great addition to Crown Legacy FC, and we’re delighted to acquire one of the top young talents in the Carolinas ahead of our second season,” said Charlotte FC Assistant General Manager Bobby Belair. “We see plenty of potential in Nicholas, thanks to his development with North Carolina FC, and we and look forward to his progression through MLS NEXT Pro to the First Team in the coming years.”
Holliday featured 27 times for North Carolina FC across all competitions since debuting in June 2021. Holliday has been involved with the US Youth National Team since 2021, and he became the youngest goalkeeper to start a match in USL League One or USL Championship.
