19-year-old Brazilian joins CLFC to strengthen midfield ahead of inaugural season
Charlotte, NC (Thursday, February 16, 2023)- Crown Legacy FC today announced the Club has signed midfielder Thiago Rodrigues da Costa from Campeonato Paulista team Esporte Clube Água Santa
“Thiago is a midfielder our scouting team identified recently that fits perfectly within our Club’s long-term plans and philosophy, "said Technical Director Bobby Belair. “He is a technically gifted player who will have time to develop in our environment under Jose’s guidance in MLS NEXT Pro. Thiago, 19, joins CLFC after suiting up for Água Santa’s U-20 side for the majority of his time in Brazil where he appeared in five matches so far this season. The midfielder also made his first-team debut with Água Santa during the 2022 season, recording three appearances along with three more with their U-20 squad.
Thiago featured at various clubs throughout his youth career, including in Sao Paulo based teams such as Sao Caetano, Santo André, Uniao Suzano and historic Santos. The Brazilian joined Água Santa prior to the 2022 season.
