On September 29, 2022, Idlewild Elementary School became the first school to receive a field through Charlotte FC’s Pitches for Progress initiative.  

Before 75 kids joyfully stormed the turf field for the first of many games to be played on the new turf space, guests heard from Joe LaBue, Charlotte FC President, Dan Soto, Chief Compliance Officer at Ally, and Debora DiCicco, Director of Compliance at Ally. All three showed the impact of partnership and the deep commitment Ally shows in supporting the Charlotte community alongside the Club as this was the partner’s third pitch in as many years as a sponsor of CLTFC.

Kids at the unveiling received free Ally and Charlotte FC swag, including an Ally scarf. 

Then-Charlotte FC captain Christian Fuchs also addressed the crowd, showing how foundational these initiatives run throughout the Club.
