On March 23, 2021, Charlotte FC unveiled the first of its 22 mini pitches in the Pitches for Progress initiative featured at Apartments at Sailboat Bay. Proudly sponsored by founding partner Ally, the turf pitch is accessible to those in the apartment community, in addition to local youth programming through organizations such as Street Soccer 658. 

Over 50 children from the Street Soccer 658 program excitedly joined CLTFC and Ally representatives for the official unveiling, where guests heard from Nick Kelly, Charlotte FC President, and Alison Summerville, Ally Business Administration Executive. 

This day marked a historical one for the Club, Ally and the Carolinas. As the remaining 21 pitches continue to be installed in various communities, the hope remains that kids and adults will have access to a safe place to build community and play the sport we all love – soccer.
