It all begins August 28… Charlotte FC 2nd Annual Ally Esports Tournament

This summer, show off your virtual soccer skills in the second annual Charlotte FC Esports Tournament. Gamers of all levels will have the chance to win BIG. The fun kicks off the week of August 28^th with a virtual first round. Qualified participants will advance to an in-person 2^nd round on September 9^th at Carolina Esports Hub. A champion from both the Playstation and X-Box brackets will be crowned that same day. Winners will score a $1,000 cash prize, an autographed Charlotte FC jersey, Charlotte FC branded gaming controllers, and the title of 2023 Charlotte FC Esports Tournament Champions.

Timeline

Virtual Qualifier Event | Week of July 11th

August 28th - XBOX Qualifier Virtual Event
August 29th - PlayStation Qualifier Virtual Event
Virtual Qualifier Check-in starts at 6:30pm ET | Play Starts at 7PM ET
September 9th - Top 16 players from Old Gen Xbox and Old Gen Playstation and the Top 16 players from New Gen Playstation and New Gen Xbox each qualify for the live event at the Carolina Esports Hub

* The Virtual Competition will be open to ALL PS and XBOX Consoles, regardless of Console Gen.

Live Championship Event at Carolina Esports Hub | September 9th

Competition will begin promptly at 12:30 pm ET
Prize Matches
Top 4 players from XBOX and PlayStation will compete in Final Bracket immediately following the Swiss Competition

General Gameplay Format

Swiss Format followed by Championship Bracket (Top 4 per Console)
Online head-to-head (NOT FUT)
Open to XBOX and Playstation, Players will be divided into their own bracket by Old Gen / New Gen and Console
6 min halves
No Draws - If a draw occurs, the match will restart with understanding FIRST GOAL WIN

Cost: $35 – Includes admission into the tournament (virtual and in-person) and a ticket the Philadelphia match on 9/20
Players are guaranteed at least 3 virtual games
Virtual part of the tournament will be used to eliminate players down to a field of 32 per console (64 total) for the in-person event.
Win $1,000 cash prize, Charlotte FC + Ally co-branded items, team signed Charlotte FC kit (for starters)
