Company to be the Club’s Official Partner ahead of CLTFC’s Major League Soccer debut
Charlotte, N.C. (26, January, 2022) – Charlotte FC today announced a multi-year agreement with Honeywell, signing on as the Club’s Official Partner and Healthy Buildings and Sustainability Partner.
Honeywell is working to create an enhanced stadium experience at Bank of America Stadium by deploying air quality monitoring solutions, via a custom real-time Healthy Buildings dashboard. The Healthy Buildings dashboard can help CLTFC and the stadium’s facilities staff quickly identify and address critical building controls issues, including air quality factors such as carbon dioxide levels, temperature and humidity. The company is also working with CLTFC and the stadium to identify opportunities to improve energy use to support the organization’s environment, sustainability and governance (ESG) goals.
“We are pleased to welcome Honeywell to the Charlotte FC family,” said Charlotte FC President Nick Kelly. “Honeywell is an important part of the Charlotte community and as our next-door neighbor in uptown, this partnership is an extraordinary opportunity to achieve our sustainability goals as we build a solid foundation for the Club and bring exciting experiences to our fans.”
Honeywell is also the presenting sponsor of all player signings for CLTFC’s inaugural season, including last month’s 2021 MLS Expansion Draft where CLTFC added three players to its roster and executed two trades.
“We’re excited to be a part of CLTFC’s inaugural season and provide fans with an exceptional experience in our hometown of Charlotte,” said Honeywell senior vice president and chief commercial officer, Jeff Kimbell. “We look forward to continuing our work at Bank of America stadium to support a healthier and more sustainable stadium environment for players, coaches and fans.”
Charlotte FC's opening league match of the 2022 season will be played on the road against D.C. United at Audi Field on Saturday, February 26, followed by the first-ever MLS match at Bank of America Stadium against the LA Galaxy on Saturday, March 5.
Honeywell's Healthy Buildings solutions integrate air quality, safety, and security technologies along with advanced analytics to help building owners improve the health of their building environments, operate more cleanly and safely, comply with new guidelines, and help reassure occupants. Honeywell’s advanced indoor air quality portfolio can help improve occupant well-being, meet energy efficiency goals, and importantly, change the way that occupants experience a building.
