CHARLOTTE—Construction has begun on renovations at Bank of America Stadium to provide a “best-in-class” experience for Charlotte FC players and fans. The project, which will cost around $50 million, includes significant enhancements to the Lowe’s East Gate, an upgraded main concourse and supporters’ bar just inside the gate, soccer-specific locker rooms, a central player tunnel, and a new premium club space and field-level seating.

“It will be amazing to see the stadium full of fans enjoying a game and I feel fortunate to be able to enjoy the first season in the club’s history.”

“When I first saw the blueprint of the renovations for the 2022 MLS season, I was blown away,” said Charlotte FC midfielder Brandt Bronico, upon seeing the renderings.

“The club preaches a culture of excellence and I think this is a major step in the right direction. There are standards set by expansion sides in this league—and I think Charlotte has set a new standard and surpassed any sort of expectation. The renovations look flawless and I can’t wait to be a part of it come 2022.”
