CHARLOTTE, NC (Sunday, December 25, 2022) – Charlotte FC today announced forward Daniel Rios has joined C.D. Guadalajara on a permanent transfer for an undisclosed fee.
Rios, who joined the Club in February 2022 from Nashville SC, made 27 league appearances during CLTFC’s inaugural season. He scored seven goals and added two assists during his time at the club. The Mexican striker also netted two goals during Open Cup play.
“It was a pleasure to see Dani’s skills evolve throughout the year and make a strong impact on the field late in the season which is a testament to the type of player development we’re building at Charlotte FC,” said Sporting Director Zoran Krneta. “Everyone at the Club thanks Dani for his time at CLTFC and wishes him all the best upon the return to his former club.”
Rios returns to Liga MX, where he originally developed in the Chivas academy, after three seasons in MLS.
