Full Time: Karol Świderski does it again in Charlotte FC's second straight win

Full Time CLTFC Cinn

CHARLOTTE – A second straight win for Charlotte FC in their 5th match of the season. It was a 2 – 0 win, with Karol Świderski scoring his second brace in a row.

Almost identical to their previous match against the New England Revolution, Charlotte FC started the match in the best possible way – scoring a goal. It was a beautifully worked goal, that started from the goalkeeper eventually reaching Ben Bender who put the goal on a platter for Karol Świderski with a delightful cross in the 6th minute.

However, after the goal, it was a stalemate between both sides with neither able to take control. Chances were far and few in-between but F.C. Cincinnati had the better of the chances leading to some nervy moments for CLTFC.

In the second half, after some adjustments from head coach Miguel Ramírez, Charlotte FC was able to dictate the tempo. They limited FCC to half chances and a perfectly placed free kick by Świderski doubled Charlotte FC’s lead in the 55th minute.

Charlotte FC had some other great scoring opportunities in the half that were saved in heroic fashion but will be ecstatic to be headed to Philadelphia next week with momentum off two back-to-back wins.

A Blossoming Connection

For the second straight match, Ben Bender has set up Karol Świderski for a goal. It was a great display of delivery, positioning, and mutual understanding.

Charlotte FC has looked most threatening this season when Bender and Świderski are able to get on the ball often. They’ve been the attacking catalysts for the Crown, using every tool at their disposal to disrupt defenses and create moments of magic.

That’s now four goals on the season for Świderski and one goal and three assists for Bender. It’s become obvious that if Charlotte FC want to continue winning games, getting these two involved will be key.

Clean Sheet

Up to this point, Charlotte FC had a lot of their firsts, like their first-ever goal and their first-ever win, but their first-ever clean sheet still eluded them. That was until tonight.

Ramírez and the team will be happy to have notched their first clean sheet, marking yet another important milestone in the still “under-construction” project that the team has been building.
