Charlotte FC are still in playoff contention heading into Week 33 of the MLS regular season but their next challenge will be against the Eastern Conference leaders, Philadelphia Union. A win would automatically keep Charlotte's playoff hopes alive, but even in a loss, their playoff elimination would still be contingent on other results going against them.
Charlotte will be eliminated from the Audi 2022 MLS Cup Playoffs if:
- Charlotte lose vs. Philadelphia AND Miami win at Toronto FC or ...
- Charlotte lose vs. Philadelphia AND Columbus win vs. New York
