Soccer fans who take flight in the contest can win exclusive prizes and help support over 400 elementary school students across Charlotte
CHARLOTTE—Origami experts and wannabe paper pilots take note: The Soccer Foundation of Charlotte (Soccer F.C.) is holding its second annual Paper Airplane Fundraiser on Saturday, June 26.
The event, to be held at Catawba Brewing Company (993 Louise Ave, Charlotte, N.C. 28204) from 11am to 2pm, will raise funds for Soccer F.C.’s after-school soccer and literacy programming at Title 1 Elementary Schools.
Entrants will construct a paper airplane using 8.5” x 11” paper at home, or during the event. Everyone will be given three attempts to throw their paper creation as far as possible, and the plane that flies the farthest will win the Grand Prize: a Charlotte FC Family VIP Package.
A selection of local businesses have donated additional exclusive prizes, and a silent auction will also be held.
Tickets cost $10 for individuals and $30 for families, with all proceeds going directly to support programming for over 400 elementary school students in Charlotte.
Additionally, a Charlotte FC pop-up shop will be on site with merchandise available for purchase. Club staff will also be on hand to answer questions about Season Ticket Membership for the inaugural 2022 season.
Since 2017, Soccer F.C. has provided free after-school literacy and soccer programming for children in Charlotte who live at or below the poverty line, including those in immigrant and refugee communities. Soccer F.C. is a proud community partner of Charlotte Football Club.
