Social Reactions to Tim Ream's Return Home and Fulham's Goodbye

It's a move that's more American than apple pie. Tim Ream, Fulham’s seasoned stalwart, has decided to pack his bags, wave goodbye to the quaint streets of London, and head back across the pond.

He’s swapping the foggy banks of the Thames for the sun and humidity of Charlotte, North Carolina – and we’re PUMPED.

What better way to celebrate the arrival of the U.S. Soccer icon than with the most patriotic video you’ve ever seen?

Confirmed. The greatest video you've ever seen.

While we celebrated the return of a hero stateside, The Cottagers showed just how much of an impact the American made at Fulham. It’s clear that Ream left a legacy to be proud of with the London-based club.

His Fulham teammates also demonstrated how well-loved he was at Craven Cottage. Wherever he goes, the veteran center back thrives on building good relationships through his leadership and commitment.

Don’t worry, if you know anything about Southern hospitality, you know we’ll take good care of him here in Charlotte.

The fans, in particular, have wasted no time in making Ream feel welcome in the Queen City. One super fan may have been the very first person to nab a Ream kit, and others were over the moon that the American national team player is officially joining their Club.

His new teammates were warm in their welcome, too, rolling out the red carpet in the most soccer way possible—by making him sprint through a human tunnel while getting smacked around like a piñata at a kid's birthday party.

And the U.S. Men's National Team jumped in on the fun, welcoming him back to the States after his trailblazing UK adventure.

So welcome home, Tim. It’s going to be a blast. And if you ever get homesick for London, there’s always a fish and chips shop around the corner. But we have a feeling you’ll be too busy having fun at Bank of America Stadium to miss it.
