WSOC-TV, TV64 & Telemundo Charlotte announce first-ever television partnership with Charlotte Football Club

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (April 14, 2021) ā€“ Charlotte Football Club today announced its first-ever television partnership with three local Charlotte stations owned by Cox Media Group including WSOC-TV (ABC Charlotte), WAXN (TV64) and Telemundo Charlotte. WSOC-TV and TV64 will be the flagship English language television partners while Telemundo Charlotte will be the teamā€™s local Spanish-speaking television partner.

ā€œWe are so proud and excited to bring Charlotte FCā€™s inaugural season into homes across the Charlotte area,ā€ said Cedric Thomas, Cox Media Group Charlotte vice president and general manager.

As a result of this landmark agreement between Charlotte FC and the three (3) television stations, all regional Charlotte FC regular season matches in 2022 will be available over-the-air to all television households within the Charlotte viewing area in English and Spanish.

Full details of Charlotte FCā€™s inaugural MLS broadcast schedule on WSOC-TV, TV64 and Telemundo Charlotte will be released with the 2022 MLS schedule.Ā 

Charlotte-based Raycom Sports will handle local game production and syndication for the Charlotte FC television network throughout the Carolinas.Ā
