Kennesaw, GA (Wednesday, August 9, 2023) - Crown Legacy FC fall to Atlanta United 2 on the road 3-1 for just its fourth loss of the season.
CLFC got out to an early lead with forward Iuri Tavares finding the back of the net off of a rebound from Gurman Sangha's initial shot. ATL2 equalized in the 30th minute off of a corner and proved to be lethal from set pieces the remainder of the match. The home side netted two more goals off corners in the second half to secure all three points. New signing Kimarni Smith and academy product Sam Sery each made their CLFC debuts.
Crown Legacy FC will look to reset at home on Sunday, August 13 at 12 p.m. ET for its third and final meeting with Huntsville City FC of the regular season.
